21-year-old Maura Murray disappeared on the evening of February 9, 2004, after a car crash on the junction of Route 112 and Route 116, near Easton, New Hampshire. She was completing her junior year at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst at the time of her disappearance. A long search failed to turn up any sign of Maura and 17 years on she remains missing.
The case has baffled armchair detectives - was it a suicide, was she lost in the woods, murdered by a serial killer as she walked from the crash site or did she disappears voluntarily to start a new life in Canada?
