The A616 Stocksbridge bypass in South Yorkshire in the North of England is believed to be the U.K.’s most haunted road. Ghostly apparitions, including monks and children, have been reported, and over 25 people have been killed in car accidents since it opened. Some have said the deaths are just bad driving at high speed, others that something or someone has distracted drivers, causing head-on collisions late at night.
